The assisted reproduction unit is located in the CIMA Hospital, and adds to this a total of 11 specialized assisted reproduction centers in Spain and Portugal.
The health group specializing in assisted reproduction Ginemed has launched a new Assisted Human Reproduction Hospital Unit at the CIMA Hospital in Barcelona.
Ginemed, which since last August has been part of GeneraLife -the third most important fertility company in Europe- joins 11 assisted reproduction centers in Spain and Portugal and thus begins its Expansion Plan 2022 with the forecast to end the year with a total of 17 open centers and more than 15,000 fertility treatments.
"This is going to be our 14th clinic in Iberia -explains Marcos Bueso, CEO of GeneraLife- and we plan to open another 6 in Spain and Portugal before the end of the year. Both markets are strategic for us and our goal is to continue our expansion Putting the patient at the center of everything we do is part of GeneraLife's philosophy and approach, and to succeed in that purpose, we intend to open more clinics to ease the patient journey and provide faster access to our services. doctors
With this new center, Ginemed is beginning to consolidate itself in the north of Spain, thus approaching its patients in Catalonia and the south of France, who until now had to travel to other Ginemed offices to take carried out his Assisted Reproduction treatment.
For Dr. Pascual Sánchez, medical director of Ginemed: "Our premise to continue growing is the same with which we started 30 years ago: to offer reproductive medicine based on our scientific vocation -and therefore on good results- but above all do it with a deep human vocation. For this reason, our expansion plan is based on having a first-class medical team and a robust research and training program that allows us to export not only the scientific model of Ginemed, but also the care model so that the patient experience is always excellent”.
Benefits for patients
Specialists in the study of men and in highly complex cases (implantation failures and repeated abortions), at Ginemed they have programs that will extend Ginemed Barcelona, such as the Egg Donation Program with Guaranteed Results (guaranteed ovules, embryos or pregnancy) or the financing conditions (up to 24 months without interest or opening costs).
Ginemed's results are above average, in many treatments, with more than 84% of pregnancies in a cycle (fresh + vitrified). In fact, 69% of Ginemed patients achieve their pregnancy in the 1st transfer.
Crystal Laboratory
The Ginemed Assisted Reproduction Units have made their Laboratories with glass walls with the aim of bringing Laboratory work closer to the patient, emphasizing Transparency and Quality. In this sense, all the Laboratory processes (vitrification, microinjection, stripping, capture, transfer) are connected to cameras, so that the patient can see them through the glass.
In this way, every day, doctors and patients can 'peek out' to contemplate behind the glass how 'the cellular origin of human life' happens. The new Reproduction laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with the optimum levels of purity in the air being of special importance, as well as the temperature and humidity conditions, monitoring all the incubators, nitrogen tanks, refrigerator through a system of sensors, which in the event of any alteration notify the embryologist directly to his mobile phone.
30 years being a benchmark
Ginemed celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, with more than 300 people and more than 250,000 patients. Their results and trajectory have positioned them as benchmarks not only among the scientific community, but also among patients.
Currently, Ginemed has specialized assisted reproduction units in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, Murcia, Valencia, Zaragoza, Huelva, Cádiz and Lisbon.
